1936 Aerial Photo of West Nashville
This 1936 aerial photo of West Nashville was taken in September of 1936 by the 105th ‘Old Hickory Squadron’ of the Tennessee Army Air National Guard (photo observation squadron).
The view is looking out over the H.G. Hill farm located west Harding Pike (Road) which was later developed into a suburban post-World War II neighborhood named: Hillwood. The view is aproximatley 300˚T (NW) looking towards Kelley’s Point battlefield on the Cumberland River. The altitude looks to be about 4000′ AGL. See more about Kelley’s point.
