Battle of Franklin Loring’s Advance Video:

2012 Battle of Franklin tour featuring Eric Jacobson. This 23 minute video describes Loring‘s Advance on the eastern flank of the Battle of Franklin. This land has been preserved by Save the Franklin Battlefield, Inc. and The Civil War Trust last November (2011). It includes 5 acres of core battlefield.

2/3rd’s of the Confederate casualties occurred on the eastern flank of the Franklin battlefield. 16 Federal cannons, in four hours, fired over 11,000 rounds of artillery into this area of the Confederate advance. Some of their regiments took up to 62% casualties. John Adams, one of the six Confederate generals killed at Franklin, fell in this charge.

It is located at the end of Meadowbrook Lane in Franklin, Tennessee.
